Massiel Indira Taveras Henríquez
(born 1984) is Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2007. She was the
successor of Mía Taveras López, her cousin. She graduated from
Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and became a lawyer and a
designer.
Massiel is daughter of Damían Taveras and Carmen Henríquez de Taveras. She has six brothers, among them, the conductor of television and ex- queen of beauty Rita Isaura Taveras.
Massiel Indira Taveras Henríquez competed in Mexico City on May 28 at the Miss Universe 2007 pageant. After being among of the favorites Taveras did not place.
On October 26 Taveras was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2007 during an event held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia ; she also won the most beautiful face award and best figure award.
